Privacy Policy

The Illumidea Team (hereinafter referred to as the “Organization”) hereby stipulates a Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as the “Policy”) as stated below concerning handling of user information, including users’ personal information, in the “Illumidea” service (hereinafter referred to as the “Service”) provided by the Organization.

1. Method of Collecting User Information

In the Policy, “user information” shall mean information related to identification of users, action history on communication services, and other information that is generated or accumulated in relation to users or their terminals and is collected by the Organization based on this Policy. The user information that the Organization collects in the Service will be information such as that below, in accordance with the method of collection.

  1. Information provided by the user
    The information provided by the user in order to use the Service or through use of the Service is as stated below.

    • Information entered or transmitted by the user through an input form or other method stipulated by the Organization
  2. Information provided by external services when a registered user allows such services to be linked in use of the Service
    If a registered user, when using the Service, permits linking with other services such as social networking services, the information below will be collected from such external services based on what was agreed upon at the time of granting that permission.

    • IDs used by the registered user in the relevant external services
    • Other information that the registered user has authorized to be disclosed to linked parties based on the privacy settings of the relevant external services
  3. Information collected by the Organization when the user uses the Service
    The Organization may collect information about the user’s access situation and method of use for the Service. This includes the following information.

    • History of access to information within the Service, and history of operation of that information
    • Terminal information
    • OS information
    • User agent
    • IP address
    • Referrer
    • Information related to server access logs
    • Cookies, ADID, IDFA, and other identifiers

2. Purposes of Collecting and Using User Information

The specific purposes of use of user information related to service provision for the Service are as follows.

  1. To provide, maintain, protect, and improve the Service, such as by accepting registrations for the Service, verifying identity, authenticating users, and recording user settings
  2. To measure user traffic and behavior
  3. To provide information related to the Service and to handle inquiries and others
  4. To handle violations of terms of use, policies, and others (hereinafter referred to as the “Terms, etc.”) related to the Service
  5. To provide information about the Service, to give notification of changes of the Terms, etc., and to make contact when necessary such as when conducting surveys
  6. To create, in relation to the Service, statistical data and models that are processed into a form by which it is not possible to identify individuals
  7. For purposes of use that are incidental to the purposes of use stated above

3. Transmission of User Information to External Parties

In order to improve the user experience and enhance the Service through access analysis, the Organization collects information about users (user information) by using cookies and other terminal identifiers and transmits that information to third parties other than users (hereinafter referred to as “Businesses that Receive Transmission”). Please confirm the details below concerning the purposes and content of transmission to each Business that Receives Transmission.

  • Firebase Authentication: Sends IP address, terminal information, user agent, and cookies, for the purpose of user identification
  • Sentry: Transmission of IP address, terminal information, OS information, user agent, referrer, access history, and operation history for the purpose of collecting and analyzing logs related to problems and site performance logs
  • Google Analytics: Transmission of cookies, access history, and others for the purpose of collecting and analyzing user behavior logs
  • Microsoft Clarity: Transmission of cookies, access history, and operation history for the purpose of recording and analyzing user behavior logs

4. About Google Analytics

The Organization uses Google Analytics, which is provided by Google LLC, on the Service in order to investigate and analyze the situation of use of the Service. The Organization uses Microsoft Clarity, provided by Microsoft Corporation, on the Service in order to investigate and analyze user behavior and usage of the Service. 6. Consignment and Provision to Third Parties

  1. The Organization may outsource all or part of handling of user information to a subcontractor, within the extent that is necessary to achieve the objectives of Article 2. When an agreement is concluded with a subcontractor, the Organization will ensure that the user information is properly managed.
  2. The Organization will not provide user information that is personal information to third parties (including parties located outside Japan) without obtaining the user’s prior consent. Provided, however, that this does not apply to cases permitted under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (Law No. 57 of 2003; hereinafter referred to as the “Personal Information Protection Act”) or other laws and regulations.

7. About Disclosure, Correction, Suspension of Use, and Elimination of Personal Information

If there is a request, based on a law or regulation, for disclosure, correction, suspension of use, or elimination of personal information that the Organization has obtained, the Organization will confirm that the person making the request is the person related to the personal information, and then promptly handle the request within a reasonable period and scope.

8. Compliance with Laws and Regulations

Although the Organization is outside the scope of application of adequacy decisions based on Article 45 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), it will comply with laws, regulations, and other standards related to personal information protection and will continuously review and strive to improve the content of this Privacy Policy.

9. Changes of the Privacy Policy

  1. The Organization shall be able to change this policy, without notifying users, in response to changes of laws and regulations or when deemed necessary by the Organization. Unless otherwise stipulated by the Organization, this policy after a change shall become effective from the time it is displayed on the Service.
  2. Before accessing this site, please check the most current version of this policy without fail.

10. Management and Security of Acquired Information

Acquired information will be stored securely on a server in an environment that is inaccessible by general users, and efforts will be made to prevent unauthorized access, loss, destruction, falsification, or leaks.
